Rainbow Ruffle Blanket
"The Rainbow Ruffle blanket is super warm, soft, cuddly, and so easy to make! The pattern is unbelievably simple; the entire blanket is crocheted in double crochet. The ruffle is added at the end, in front loops between two rows of different colors. The tutorial is written in standard US crochet terms, but if you’re from the UK, you can easily follow the tutorial, just make treble crochet instead of double crochet (standing tr crochet instead of standing dc), and that’s it! The other 2 stitches are the same (chain stitch and slip stitch). Yes, it’s that simple!"
Crochet HookE/4 or 3.5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

This project looked a bit intimidating until I read through the entire project. Basically, you work up the entire blankettaking care to only work the Back Loop Only for the final row of each colorand then the ruffle is worked on directly on the finished blanket using the remaining Front Loops. Time consuming yes, but much easier than I initially thought. Love the designers color chart, too.

I have just found another favorite designer. This is the type of crochet patterns that I just love to come across. Even though the designer offered this one for free, I would have easily paid for the pattern. This is beautiful.

There are some extremely generous designers out there, and I don't mind sending them a dollar or two.

What a truly unique afghan. I thought the ruffle was store bought added to the design. The ruffle is also crochet. My mind is just blown by how creative some people can be. I am lucky if I can follow the pattern and make the item. I could never create anything this beautiful on my own. Thanks for the free pattern.
