Quick and Easy Crochet Blanket
You can't ask for a better easy crochet pattern than this Quick and Easy Crochet Blanket. Crochet blankets make great handmade gifts, and this pattern is so easy to make. It takes about six hours, which would be the perfect Sunday afternoon crochet project. You can make it in any color you wish, and the homespun yarn is warm and cuddly, exactly as a blanket should be. If you leave the edge tasseled, the blanket also has a nice fringed look. The finished product is delightfully big, so get ready to cocoon down into your new favorite cold-weather companion.

The designer was not kidding about this blanket. It is a really quick and easy project. For the finished size of 45 by 70 she used eight skeins of yarn and a large hook so that will explain the quick. Easy comes to play when you only have two lines of crochet to master. This one is going in my afghan folder right now.

Wow, the single crochet stitch looks different when done with a larger hook. When looking at the picture I wasn't thinking single crochet for sure. I like that this is a quick pattern to work up, with the bulky yarn. The pattern is well written and easy to follow. I can make this one while watching tv. Love this Quick and Easy Crochet Blanket pattern. Thank you for sharing.

Thick yarn and a super large hook make for a quick project. This is very pretty and you only need to know the basic stitches, nothing fancy to learn. You can make this up in no time at all. If you want to make it fancier just use ombr or variegated yarn. It self shades.

I have made 3 or 4 of these lapghans. You are right they are SO simple! I can't even read a crochet pattern and i have completed fully functional beautiful blankets that no one would be the wiser to! My favorite on is the one we keep on our bed during the winter. Its the same yarn you used for the ribbon border on pictured! SO WARM!!

Simple is nice and beautiful. I've never done any crocheting using two strands of yarn at once. I'm concerned that it might be too heavy for us southern folks. Is it possible to do it with one strand of yarn instead to lighten it up some? I'd be interested to hear from those who have worked this one up.

So beautiful. The link showed how the author changed the colors after she tried it once and she enjoyed it. Then she made one for her parents and one for her in-laws each with a different color. Here's the link to the pattern http//littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.com/2009/01/qui == ck-and-simple-crocheted-afghan.html
