Little Couch Potato Siesta Blanket
"This Little Couch Potato Siesta Blanket was crocheted over the course of one weekend (at a relaxed pace), with 3 cakes of Pool Party Bernat Blanket Stripes yarn. The yarn was easy to work with and except for the final row of the project I let the colors come out of the yarn cake as they were dyed. The last row I removed a small section in the dark blue in order to use the next color in the ball to complete the final 2 rows in the same color. Two separate colors over the final 2 rows did not fit with the flow of the rest of the blanket. So if you end up in a similar place after you reach row 50 consider cutting out a small section and allowing the next section to take it’s place to make the blanket color flow a bit more smoothly. This was a very relaxed and simple project to crochet. I love the striped effect created by the yarn and not having to sew in a bunch of yarn ends! Great for gifts, baby showers, children, floor blankets and cuddle time! Drew’s finished blanket measures 40 inches wide and 36 inches long. The stitch multiple is 2+1 so you can create this to any size you wish easily."

I would work up this project just for the opportunity of working with that Bernat yarn again. I love that stuff! Thanks for the handy tip about editing the yarn near the end of the project. This downloadable pattern is a genuine delight. And if it hasnt already caught your eye, check out the insanely clever Sheep AmiBlanket at the top of her post. I might have to buy that one!

. I tend to have more time looking for crochet projects to complete than I actually have time to crochet. This pattern will surely move to the top because it is one of those "portable" projects. This one will work up easily with the simple techniques used to crochet this afghan.

The title of this little beauty if very confusing. I had to open it up to see what was meant by couch potato siesta blanket. I was happy to know that this just meant this was an easy blanket to assemble in a little time if you have a few to relax on a couch. I like the color combination and the texture that is crocheted into the design, adorable.

I like! I like! Oh this blanket looks sooo comfy! So nice of the artisan/blogger to give us the stitch multiple too. This pattern should work up quite nicely. I think I'll try my hand with the Teal Zeal color. Thanks for this free pattern. I agree with Drew. It does look soft and fluffy!

Seems like we are all couch potatoes. This is a soft and fluffy blank made with Bernat blanket stripes. The perfect little blanket for little ones to cuddle up with during naps or tv /video game time. I like to snuggle up with blankets year round also and this yarn is so squishy and soft.
