An easy crochet afghan like this one is so pretty to make for yourself or a friend. Half double crochet is used to make it work up quickly. This pattern uses other simple stitches making this a perfect practice piece.

Easy

Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook

Yarn Weight(3) Light/DK (21-24 stitches to 4 inches)

This looks so easy to make. Here is the link to the pattern https//safetybootsandcrochet.wordpress.com/the-ava == tar-afghan/. I want to do this but maybe later.

I don't understand how to print so I don't have to be in front of the computer to make this.

Hi, Currently, you cannot print from our site as we link out to patterns. We suggest you go to the original project page where it says "click here for pattern" and highlight the text, then right-click on it. You'll get a window that gives you the option to "copy." Do that, and then paste the text into a word document. You should be able print that document that way without the black background. I hope this helps! --editors of AllFreeCrochet

When you print a pattern which is allowed to be downloaded, please don't put the pattern on a black or any other colored background as it uses up to much ink. Other wise I love your patterns. Thank You Very much

@Morgana, Thank you so much for your comment. Unfortunately, we simply link to the pattern designer's website and have no control over the color they select for their website's background. We suggest you go to the page and highlight the text, then right-click on it. You'll get a window that gives you the option to "copy." Do that, and then paste the text into a word document. I was able to select all of the text and pictures in the pattern post and copy it. I then pasted it into a Word document and I can print it that way or save it for later. I hope that helps.

Looks like a great pattern. I'm adding it to my collection of afghan patterns.
