Vista Valley Convertible Cowl
Vista Valley is a convertible crochet cowl pattern that features a drawstring that allows you to wear this crochet pattern as either a cowl or a slouchy crochet hat. Make the perfect and most versatile fall crochet pattern in whatever color scheme you choose; the crochet stitches will shine through no matter your color palette!
From the Blogger: "The Vista Valley Convertible Cowl is a quick and easy pattern that features alternating rounds of crossed double crochet stitches and puff stitches to create a whimsical look of x’s and o’s. Named for the yarn and the lovely view from my home, this soft, cozy cowl can easily convert to a warm winter hat. Make it in multiple bright colors for a fun and playful look, or choose a single neutral tone for a more sophisticated style."

Ive seen cowls that transform into hoods, but this is the first time Ive seen one become an actual hat. And I really like that! This project is worked from the ribbed brim up and available in four different sizes. The body of the hat is worked in Puff and Crossed Double Crochet stitches that are joined at the end of each round. If you want to carry the accent yarn inside like the designer suggests, limit it to two rounds like the sample.
