Sugar Maple Headband
"This simple, and rustic crochet headband has endless possibilities! It features a stylish button closure in the back, and can be worn plain, or you can crochet a pretty flower to dress it up! It can be crocheted to fit almost everyone from preschoolers to adults, and would be a perfect, quick afternoon crochet project to make for gift giving throughout the year. If you wanted to make a set, you can find the matching Sugar Maple Boot Cuffs pattern linked in the post."
NotesYou'll need to know how to work in the 3rd loop of an hdc stitch. Look at the top of the stitch, and locate the sideways “V”, bend the stitch to look at the back, and you should see another “V”. You’ll be working into the back loop of that “V”, this is called the 3rd loop. When working in rows, this "3rd loop" will be facing you!

I love wearing headbands but hate having them slip off while Im busy doing chores. This style usually solves that problem since it narrows at the back where it tucks under my hair. The repetitive pattern forms the core of the headband, and the designer provides suggestions for various lengths depending on the size needed. This one is a keeper.
