I actually thought this was a simple long crocheted strip that you just wrap around the front and tie in a bow. But the headband is joined together. You THEN made your bow and attach it, and tacking it in place on both sides is only optional if you do not want it to move or come loose. Can be adapted to fit any head size, as well. Cute!

So super easy to customize this headband into the color of your choice so that it will match your favorite outfit. It is made with all basic beginner stitches. The most difficult part of this project will be the tying of the headband so that it is snug enough to stay in place but not too tight on the head.

I love the versatility of this project. Since youre starting with a fairly wide rectangle, you can fold and stitch the band to make a double-layered narrow band, or just stitch the bow ends for a wider band. Working across the rows lets you easily change yarn color as youd like. The designer gives wonderful directions and diagrams detailing exactly how to work each style, and how to form the bow.
