Linked Double Crochet Coasters
"This set of coasters is very simple yet different. They are made of linked double crochet stitches (ldc stitch). The problem with the ldc stitch is that it is hard to join the rows with a ss - well, not anymore - check out the detailed photo tutorial how to do ss for linked double crochet stitch. The pattern is for coasters simply to show how to join rows with ldc, you may continue it to form any head, headband or any other project that you want to create with a new/not so popular stitch."

Ive come across so many Linked Double Crochet patterns lately, and Ive never worked a project using this stitch. Since this is designed to be a quick project, I may tackle this after lunch this afternoon. The author gives very detailed photo instructions for the first round, including the critical first stitch (started OUTSIDE the Magic Circle) as well as how to join the rounds (not quite the usual Slip Stitch). Im looking forward to trying this one.
