Our craft has been around for a very long time, but in recent years it's been given some speed with social media and the web and blossomed into a wonderful community. At the end of the day we all enjoy grabbing a hook and a ball of yarn together despite any differences we may have. It binds crafters together from all over the world. For me it gave me the freedom o explore my artist side as well as make awesome handmade stuff for my children, family, and friends. A ball of yarn and a hook saved my sanity. We all picked up yarn and hook for a variety of reasons. I'm also guessing many of us found some added unexpected bonuses to the craft such as stress or anxiety relief. It's not about how fast you can crochet or how complicated of project one can complete, it's about the journey.
