This high altitude aviator hat pictured here is great for a little boy. However, if you change the color blue to a different color, your little aviator girl could be all dressed up also. Maybe even another type of button. Just a thought.

My oldest son was recently out in California and took the opportunity to take a ride in a twin engine airplane that has since inspired him to take flying lessons. Even if he elects not to, this would be an adorable reminder that for a few moments he was a pilot.

I really like how the designer has flipped the usual color combination on this one. Instead of the flap resembling the white shearling, it uses the darker color instead. My only complaint with this project is the font type on the designers page. Serif fonts are notoriously hard to read on the screen. Fortunately I was able to Cut and Paste to save the pattern so I could manually change the font to a sans serif.
