Headband with Button
Find something fun and new to wear for the spring months. Using a free crochet pattern like this one you can make a headband with a button on it. Get in style with your new headband.
Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook, I/9 or 5.5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Additional Materials:
- Needle and Thread
- Large Button
Pattern:
Ch 75
ROUND 1: sc in next ch from hook, sc in each ch across.
3 sc in last ch.
Working along bottom of chs, sc in each ch across.
3 sc in last ch, sl st to first sc. Ch 3. (154 sc)
ROUND 2: Repeat ROUND 1 using dc in each sc st. Note: Each round will gain stitches. Continue to work 3 crochets in end stitches.
ROUND 3: Repeat ROUND 1 using hdc in each dc st.
Continue working ROUNDS using hdc until desired thickness.
FINISHING: Fasten off and weave in ends. To connect, overlap ends 1-2 inches or desired fit size. Sew button and edges together.

I love crocheting headbands since they are quick and could be finished in one evening. I would suggest measuring your head first and adding the number of beginning chains based on your head measurement plus a few extra chains to ensure it fits. You can always try it on after row 2 to make sure it is going to fit.

I made one using the H hook and it came out way to big for for a lady's head. So, I am going to try using a smaller hook and see how it comes out.
