The Sting Piper Earwarmer Headband Pattern
"A thick, headband that fits over the ears, and holds the hair back. Puff stitches make this very cushion-y, squishy, and super soft. Wear this in the bitter cold winter, but don't have cold ears! Excellent for beginners, as well. The headband is fluffy and not tight at all. So it holds hair back, but not up. It works fantastic with a ponytail, however. You could alternate colors to make a cool design, or you could make this in a solid color to make the puff stitch really pop. I used skeins of variegated colors. I really like the Red Heart Super Saver Prints & Multi-colors."

I make and wear a lot of headbands, so Im always happy to find a new pattern. This interesting project looks very different than most I have, and that big button fastener on the top is certainly different, too. This project is not at the link above, but a similar project under the same name is listed on the designers site under the Crochet patterns. Most versions dont have the buttons, but one does.
