Do you have any Fairy Princesses in your life? I certainly do and they will be delighted with new floral crowns. The flower chain is worked first, then the leaf chain worked along side and occasionally joined with a Slip Stitch to the flower one. It sounds a little bit confusing, but the designer has provided a video the guide the crafter (look around the 7 minute mark).

Crown or necklace, this Delia pattern is cute. I have a pair of nieces that proud them selves as princesses. Would this not be the perfect crown? They really enjoy dress up and this would be an easy project that would provide them both with hours of play.

I love projects that yield an item that can be used in multiple ways. This is adorable. I love it mostly as a necklace. The flowers are so dainty, (I am partial to pink) Although the model is really working this in both pictures, I am sure a younger recipient would also like this.
