I really like how spacious this Elf Help Hat is. I know that must sound strange, but many similar patterns Ive found are more like an elongated beanie around the head portion. This is much roomier and more like a slouchie hat. I couldnt tell from the initial photo (white trim on white background) but she does suggest using something similar to the Pipsqueak yarn for the trim and pompon.

This is just the type of holiday hat I had been looking for for quite a while. It is a little late for 2017, but I can certainly look ahead to 2018. She describes this as an elf hat, but the way that it hangs down to one side, if you made it in red it really could be used as a more modern looking Santa Claus hat.
