At the end of the year last I year I grabbed up a few gift card stocking holders when they were on clearance after Christmas. These are so much cuter than those so I know I will be placing those in the charity bin and making these for my gift cards this year. hanks for posting the pattern.

This is the excuse I need to buy that holiday sparkly yarn at Michaels. They will be uber quick to make up, I can make several of them with only a couple skeins of yarn, and my hands and mind will be kept busy every evening in front of the television. How fun!

This is a cute idea and a unique project for Christmas. People are always giving gift cards so this is a great idea to wrap them in. These little stockings are so cute. I love the red and white striping on the top cuff of the sock. The colors can be switched up to instead of just the red and white.

For a project sponsored by a major yarn company, this is a pretty vanilla pattern. However, it does include learning some new skills, i.e. working with Back Loops Only when forming the cuff. There are a number of hat patterns that are worked from the cuff up to the crown, so this pattern is great practice for more complex projects.

These little stockings are so cute, I have 2 new nieces that live out of state and they are going to get these with gift cards and a new ornament for their Xmas tree.
