What a great design to dress up a candy cane. They are simple to make and use very little yarn, making it a great stash buster. I like that there is more than one style to work with. These would be so cute on a gift or in a gift basket.

When I purchase Candy canes during the holiday season, they do not stay around long. This will be a clever way to hide them away so that maybe some of them can last thru the season. They may feel a little guilty plucking them from the tree. Knowing my crowd, once they find them, they will be gone. You know what though; the cover will still be cute on the tree

I hope to make enough of these for gift toppers for this Christmas. Not only will it be a small sweet treat to the recipient but an item that they are able to use next year for their own Christmas tree decoration.

I love how quick and easy a project these little candy cane covers are. They are perfect for little treat bags or even hanging on the tree and they make plain candy canes look more decorative. They are perfect for scrap yarn and because they are quick you can make a ton in a short time.
