Christmas Tree Crochet Cozy
If you're planning to give a mug-related gift this year, make this Christmas Tree Crochet Cozy to accompany it. This holiday crochet pattern measures about 9.5 inches long and is designed to fit all standard sized mugs, as well as the taller travel mugs. If you need to make it bigger, simply add a few more rows as you go. A star-shaped button (or any other button of your choice) is needed to complete this crochet cozy pattern.

I am always tasked with finding unique gifts to be able to place in all sorts of appreciation baskets in the small office I work in. This would be a great one to add during the winter months that will be here before you know it. This is the most fun thing I have to do at my work. Thanks for sharing.

Not only is this a coffee cozy it could easily be decoration when not in use. I like this idea. I know that traditionally Christmas trees are green, but I can see this made in every color of the rainbow. I am thinking about adding appliques to the tree as ornaments. My head is racing with ideas to really make this my own.

This is a different way to work up a mug cozy, and I really like that its versatile enough to fit a variety of different shaped mugs. Most designs Ive seen are for the disposable coffee shop type cups. The tree is minimally decorated (the star button serves to help close it), but it would only take a few more cross stitches to liven it up.

Great idea here. What about making two and whip stitches across the bottom and up each side, leaving the top open? Then put a candy cane or even paper money folded long ways, and giving as a gift. Just whip stitch half way up the sides and it becomes a gift card holder. Now I am excited to make some. And it's such an easy patter too!

So clever! What an excellent addition to a coffee/tea themed gift basket, or a secret Santa gift (I dont know anyone that wouldnt appreciate a cup cozy with a Starbucks gift card!). Wouldnt it be fun to decorate the tree? Use some metallic yarn for garland, stitch on a few little balls or use some white to make a snow-capped tree!
