If you're one of those people who don't like to follow the crowd, but likes to instead be the leader of the pack, then I think you're going to enjoy this book. Within Crochetterie you'll find cool, contemporary crochet patterns for the creatively minded. You really will get hooked on crochet as you will learn to master the basics and create a variety of pieces for any and all occasions.
Within the 271 page hardcover book you'll learn how to make 30 projects for men, women and children. Whether you're looking to be lazy around the house or go backpacking across the country, there is a pattern for you. From clothes and accessories to home decor and outdoor pieces, you'll be amazed at what you can actually crochet. Headed out of the country? Work up a cute passport case or a toiletry bag.
Each of the designs truly is unique in Crochetterie. The book is divided by chapters titled Home, Clothes, Travels, Equipment, Basic Instructions and Maintenance, making it easy for you to find a project if you have something specific in mind. Although I'm telling you, you might not even know you're looking for one of these projects until you see it. Take for example the Log Carrier; this is perfect for hauling logs or wood from outdoors to indoors in an easy fashion. You might also find the Lego Slippers interesting; attach a few Legos toward the toes, so the kids can have fun building on. Only have a couple cans of pop or beer to bring to the bonfire? Work up the Can Carrier to hold up to four cans with a leather belt for sturdy carrying.
What's neat about this book is the little stories throughout. One of the project options is a ball bag, so one of the stories talks about a skateboarder who uses the bag. Some of the photos themselves talk about the person in the photo and how they got started in crochet or what art piece they're currently working on. You won't find another book like this.
Molla Mills, the author, demonstrates how to customize clothes and bags by adding crochet to it. You will be inspired by the step-by-step instructions and detailed images; you'll easily want to work up each of these stylish designs.
