"Bennington Blanket Square can be made 6 inches or 8 inches across. The square uses crossed spike stitches as a textural accent. The square could look pretty made in two colors so that the color of the spike stitches is in contrast to the color behind it. Crochet Hook: J (6 mm), or size needed to obtain gauge. Gauge: First 5 rnds of square = About 4 ½ inches square."
