I am making this for my friends baby who is due in a month. This seems awfullyl small...I'm looking through the pattern to see if I did something wrong, but I am following the pattern to the letter and using a size K hook and Bernats Baby Coordinates. I'm wondering if the yarn needs to be bulkier? I am going to rip it out back to row 6 and increase for several more rows.

I was just looking at the full pattern; it is shown on a babydoll and I wasn't sure if you knew that? Maybe that is why the pattern is off?

The pattern calls for medium yarn (4). I believe Baby Coordinates is much smaller than that - either a 3 or 2. That is probably why it is much smaller.

Yarn you're using is the wrong weight. The designer used Bernat Baby Boucle which is bulky weight (5). Bernat Baby Coordinates is a light weight (3) yarn.
