What a great way to start off the holiday season. I was just at our mall and they have already started playing Christmas music over their speakers. The boxes of Christmas decorations were at the top of their stairs ready for someone to come hang them out and set them up.

This is just beautiful! There are so many patterns for angels, but the metallic gold halo really sets this one apart. Even though this is described as a tree topper, I can easily see this as a stand alone project since it calls for fabric stiffener. What a little beauty! I cant wait to show this to my favorite senior!

I was reading over this pattern and have a question about ch-3-picot. I know that the ch-3 means chain 3 but what does picot mean? I have googled it but still do not know the answer.

I did a google search for "crochet term picot" and it brought up several entries. Check this one: http://crochet.about.com/od/learnmorestitches/ss/picothowto.htm I hope this helps, if not maybe one of the other google entries would work for you.
