This really is an easy pattern to work up. The hardest part is remembering to work those Single Crochet stitches into the Back Loops Only. Since youre dealing with a specified height instead of number of rows, you dont even need to keep count with your Continuous Rows. Literally the most complicated part is working the stem and leaf. I would go an extra step and add some extra yarn for the ribs.

This is not the first crochet pumpkin that I have seen but it is the first one I want to crochet. I love the "texture" that is achieved by crocheing in the back loops of each stitch. I plan on making several for my harvest tablescape. Thanks for the free pattern.
