Most of the basket patterns that I have run across produce a round basket. It is refreshing to run across a rectangular shaped basket. Even better, nesting baskets. I have just the space for these two tone crochet nesting baskets.

I have a couple of friends with children that will be going off to college this year. Last year I made gift baskets for other friends kids but used a store bought basket and supplied them with stuff like soap, lotion and toothpaste. Now, I can step up my game and give the gifts in a home made basket. I plan to make the baskets in the school colors.

My favourite types of crochet projects are the truly useful ones. I don't like much clutter, so these are just perfect for the bathroom or bedroom to store small trinkets or little toiletries. They make your busy areas look much tidier and you won't waste time looking for the things you need.
