I really like the addition of the ribbon to this hat, but it looks like it might be loose around the bottom of the hat. The designer has written very clear instructions, and I always appreciate stitch counts at the ends of each row. But to make sure the hat is snug enough at the bottom, I usually drop down at least one hook size or work a slight decrease for the last few rows.

I was trying to find the pattern for the spiral slouchy hat and the link is for the Ava hat. I did a search and it didn't come up that way either and also looked in the 24 Beginner Hats article. No luck. Where is that pattern? Thanks

I really want to print the patters for these baby caps, but when I hit print I get pages and pages of comments. I Do NOT want comments, all I want is the patterns. I might read the comments but do not want them to be printed. Thank you for listening. CH

You could copy and paste the pattern to an e mail to yourself and print it out. OR you can hit the print button after you highlight what you want to print. Then hit "selection" after the printer box pops up.

bfraci 6137340: It seems like the designer of the Ava hat may have used an existing pattern to crochet the pink hat in the photo. We suggest you contact the designer (Wormie from Hooked On Crochet) to ask about the pattern she used. Hope this helps! -- Editor of AllFreeCrochet

You have a pink hat next to the Ava hat. Do you have a pattern for that? Where can I find it? Thank you so much.

To print only the pattern, highlight the instructions and then click on 'print'. When it comes up, tell it to print 'selected'. Otherwise, you will print all the ads and comments. A waste of time, paper and ink. Then to get the picture, click on it and when it comes up by itself, then click on the print icon. Too bad the website doesn't make it easier for us.

bpdc means back post double crochet. Put "back post double crochet" into your google (or other) search and you will find videos, written instructions, etc. bpdc and fpdc (front post double crochet) will take a few minutes to figure out the first time but once the light comes on they're easy to do. I am not familiar with the abbreviation bpdc. I have looked on your abbrv. page but that was no help. Could it mean dc in post?
