All you need is one skein of yarn to work up this Pinwheel Crochet Beanie. Made with sport weight yarn, this lightweight crochet beanie is ideal for the summer months. The crochet instructions are written to fit an adult, and this particular crochet hat is meant to have a loose fit. If you would prefer a tighter fit or smaller size, simply use an H hook when you are crocheting the brim.

This is the perfect summer hat for one of those Bad Hair days. The designer has some specific yarn recommendations, but with its loose texture, Im thinking it should be fine in something like Lilys Sugar and Cream. The author also uses the Chainless Starting Double Crochet as an alternative to the usual chain 3, and includes a tutorial. I dont know why I forget to use this stitch on other projects as it really does look much neater.
