Love the clutch and stitch. My specialty are ponchos. Will use this stitch for them.

I was looking forward to making this bag, but the Moogly video doesn't relate to the pattern shown above. The pattern uses hdc and works into the side of the starting chain, the video uses sc, dc and tr and doesn't shown anything about working into the side of the chain. Such a shame because it is a lovely looking little bag.

This is a colorful crochet clutch. This will slip nicely into my bag and I have so many ideas as to what I can use it for. Right now I will probably just fill it with my shopping receipts and such for now but I am sure it can handle much more because of the thick weave of the pattern. Thanks again Moogly for providing us with a quality free crochet pattern.

The overlapping post stitch sure adds a lot of texture to a project. I love the changing colors of the design a I feel like the stitch would be lost with out changing colors. Sewing in a zipper is a challenge I have not faced yet but I know I will get it done if I follow the directions.

This Moogly Blog offering not only introduces a new crochet stitch but gives you a chance to brush up on your sewing skills, too. There are plenty of photos, and tutorials for the Overlapping Post Stitch as well as both methods of installing the zipper. It looks like shes used a nylon zipper, but for this bag, I would use a chunky metal one.

This is a classic and so very easy. In rainbow colors it's great for summer. But imagine it in black and white stripes? Or black and silver as an evening clutch. It's so easy to make that I would make it in black, line it in silver and on the front add big rhinestone button.

you could use this for a pencil case or put in a lining and a little longer body and have a make-up bag. So many things can be done with this adorable clutch.

So adorable! Fun! Fun! Fun! I love how this clutch is soooo colorful. I may have enough different yarns in my stash to get busy on this one right away! This pattern also gives me opportunity to try another crochet stitch with a video tutorial to boot. Actually there are several tutorial videos and I really like that because I'm a visual learner!

Very colorful clutch is a very fitting name and description for this project. Love the way it looks. It has a very cheerful look and would be an excellent project to use up your left over yarns from other projects. Each one would have a different look of its own. Very nice.

What a cute Colorful Crochet Clutch! I love the colors and the written pattern is great! After reading the list of things needed, I was like "what the heck is a sharp hook?" Then after reading the written pattern I figured it out, it's a hook that is pointed not round at the hook end. I have these and never knew they were called sharp hooks. With that cleared up, I'm loving this pattern, it has a few videos and pictures to show how to do a few things to help. I like the tip for making a longer zipper work for this bag. I think my oldest Grand daughter will love this clutch. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

I have always enjoyed Moogly's patterns. So well written. This is one that'll make a great gift for the bag enthusiasts. Will try it out when I get my hands on the perfect yarn. )
