Cotton Candy Dishcloth
Try your hand at something out of the ordinary with this Cotton Candy Dishcloth. Your dishcloths don't just have to be one solid color anymore. Using a variegated yarn can give you such a pretty result. Simple crochet patterns like this are done in single crochet and half double crochet. It's perfect for summertime parties and children's events. The best thing about this dishcloth is that it's so quick to work up.

This is one of my Go To Beginner dishcloth projects for all my crochet students regardless of age. Its so easy to work, and the download options let me print off as many copies as I need. Ive found that new crochet students get bored pretty quickly with just practicing chains and simple stitches, so the quicker I can present them with an actual project, the better.

One can never have too many dishcloths, that is for sure. What a great project for sitting at the library, waiting at the doctor's office, riding the subway and all that other stuff- you don't want to be wrestling with a huge tote bag full of yarn! Don't you love a quick and instantly satisfying project that works up so fast? I do!

This is one of my favourite patterns for dishcloths. Crocheted dishcloths are very durable. They make great gifts too. Every person I've gifted them to has loved them and has asked for more. This pattern is super simple to follow and the finished cloth looks great in solid cottons as well. Some people like to make them out of acrylic, but for the best absorbency, I would stick to cotton! They work great in the bath too!

Do people really use dish cloths? They're pretty enough but don't seem very practical.

Yes, people use dishcloths. I have a stack of them that I've crocheted, so I have a clean one every day. How do you clean your table or your countertops or your stove if not with a dishcloth? I've made mine out of cotton, so they just get washed along with my dish towels, so everything is always clean.

This pattern was very thorough and easy to follow! Quick project and beautiful look. I really like the texture/thickness. I don't feel like I have to use two strands together as I do if I were to just do a double crochet or single crochet pattern. I added a loofa and soap saver and now have a cute little set for my bathroom or gifts!

I love working with cotton thread and made a similar dish rag and a bath floor mat last week from a large spool. You just can't go wrong with cotton thread!
