Julie Huston
It is hard to say where Julie Huston's love of crochet started. She picked up a crochet magazine in thmid-1990s from a thrift store and taught herself how to crochet from the instructions in the magazine.
A new hobby was born and she has not looked back; she has been "hooked" ever since. Over the years she also learned how to knit and has also done tatting, but her preference is still crochet. The Internet got her involved with crochet forums and showing off projects. She did many projects without a pattern, and then her blogging started when people would ask for patterns for her projects, so she started a blog and wrote patterns for her original projects.
