These basic hearts can come in so handy. Depending on the size and materials used, they would work well for anything from coasters to plant mats to even trivets. If you work a couple, they can be sewn together and stuffed for small throw pillows. If you leave the top portion open, you could have a cute candy pouch. Work them in pastels, embroider and you have Conversation hearts.

These hearts look like a quick and easy project that could be made very quickly. They will be a perfect gift for me to make for my childs kindergarten class Valentine exchange boxes. They look so easy that maybe my older kids can help me out by making them for the class and some for themselves too.

So glad I found this simple little pattern. I love that it is made in one piece, with a light weight yarn. I have a baby shower in February and these are the perfect size to use as a base for corsages for the female guests. The pattern may look complicated but it really is not. You just need to pay attention to it and you will be amazed by the results...a perfect little heart every time!!
