Wow!! I've avoided crochet patterns where you have to change colors several times because I thought you had to cut the yarn every time you changed colors!! I didn't want to have to weave in a ton of yarn ends. Now that I know that you carry the yarn through the pattern until you need it again, it opens up so many patterns I've steered clear of!! Thanks so much for the wonderful tip! :)

I have the same issue as brandan. I have several white stitches and one blue then several more white, for two rows. The color change looks so bad for one stiffs I took it out. Any suggestions?

I need to know how to change and carry colors using a chart. For instance, most of the crocheting is done in green. On the second in from the edge, I need to make a white stitch, do five greens and then another white stitch. How do I do this? I want the afghan to look finished and neat on both sides.
