Easy Plus Size Woman's Top
"This is an easy to crochet Plus Size Woman's Sweater / Top. It is sized to fit most 2XL - 3XL (Although everyone is different). I have also included instructions for a woman' Medium size. Approximately 38" bust. The top is flowing and very forgiving. It is easy to put together as there are only 3 total pieces making shaping and seaming a snap. This top can be worn over jeans, slacks, skirts, etc. If you prefer you can use cotton yarn to make it cooler for the summer and warmer weather. Add a little satin ribbon and dress it up. I receive so many requests for Plus size garments and I wanted to design something that would be easy enough for even beginners to crochet. I hope you enjoy this beautiful top. Make them in all of your favorite colors."

A lot of free patterns found on All Free Crochet will include how to make the article in a larger size. It is always refreshing to find a patter that is touted as a plus size article. It is great to not be the after thought of a design but the basis for the design.

I am so glad I found this. I am making and putting aside gifts for Christmas all year long. I have some family and friends that wear a plus size and it's very hard to find pretty projects for them. This will be just perfect for them. Thank you for sharing.

I really like this easy plus size womans top. I am really interested in making it but I am not sure how much yarn to purchase. I read though the directions and watched the video but there is no mention of the amount of yarn needed.

Im not a plus size, but I think this top is kind of cute. I just wonder, without working too much of the pattern to figure it out, how many hook sizes do I need to reduce in order to make this in a regular size small? Its sounds easy enough but my Mom is very tiny.

Does anyone else see this project working with a variegated yarn? I'm not plus-sized, and I love aqua, but that was the first thing that popped into my head when seeing this. They're making some wonderful variegated yarns now, so just think of the possibilities by testing the various yarns and gauges! I also think using a size Q or P crochet hook with a number 2 or 3 weight would produce a wonderful, lacy effect, and the lighter yarn would allow for more movement. It would also make it wearable for spring or summer. What do y'all think?

Beautiful lightweight tunic sweater fit for us plus size girls, finally! Thank you so very much to Yolanda for giving me/us this pattern that is specially made to fit larger sized women. It is not bulky and ugly, rather drapey and so very pretty with the satin ribbon detail. This would look great layered over a tank and worn with leggings. I can see making one with a lighter weight yarn to wear for the spring and even summer months. As long as it is not 90 degrees!
