Worked flat in two pieces and then seamed together, the Criss Cross Tank is the ideal summertime tank. The pattern stitches are easy to remember, helping you work this up in time for your next summertime barbecue. Use post stitches and work in the front loops to create the lovely ribbed texture!

Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet Gauge16 sts and 10 rows = 4"
Finished SizeBust Circumference: 32, (36, 40, 44, 48)”. Approximate Finished Length (after blocking): 25″, (26″, 26″, 27″, 27.8″) in length. Garment may stretch when worn.
Materials List
- Yarn: Caron Simply Soft (100% worsted-weight (#4) acrylic, 6 oz/315 yds) – 2, (3, 3, 3, 4) skeins.
- Crochet Hook: H/5.00mm
The top is worked from the bottom up in two parts: the front and back. The garment is then sewn at the shoulder and side seams.

One can never have too many summer tops. Why, summer tops can easily be carried into every season of the year. When the weather begins to change this could easily be worn underneath other pieces of clothes like a sweater or blazer. Summer tops to me are the staple of my closet.

I am really excited that I have come across this criss cross tank pattern. During the summer months I live in tank tops. (I most definitely do not have the arms for them but I love them to pieces). I hope the first top is a success so that I can make more of them. Thanks for sharing.

I give extra points to the designer for what I consider to be a VERY flattering design for all women. The longer length, the v-neck neckline, the vented side slits on the hem, and the bra-friendly straps all make this a perfect top for any woman. not a huge fan of the pale yellow- I'd much rather see it in a flattering blue.

This top is simple, but that makes it perfect for a lazy summer day. The soft pastel yellow color is gorgeous!
