Elegant is how I will describe this Boho Chic Houndstooth Poncho. It has a long back which is a fashion statement in itself. This will also look great in black or midnight blue.

I really enjoyed the video for the hound-tooth video. It was very well made. I have been a fan of the hound-tooth stitch. I want to make something in the stitch for my husband. After I master the technique making this poncho for me, I will make something for him.

This pattern design indicates that it is an easy pattern. With the need to change colors it may not be the right pattern for beginners. Please take a look at the video for the houndstooth video. For me it made it all much more clearer. You can see the stitch so quickly in the process. I love this crochet stitch.

I love the look of this Boho Chic Houndstooth Poncho! You would think it was store bought, not homemade. I don't like to weave in the ends so I think this is a great idea to use them as fringe. Know that I know I need to sew the to sides together, I would crochet over the ends on one side to save from having to weave them in later. I am in love with the Houndstooth stitch that looks so great. This pattern is a keeper and one I will do over and over again. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet poncho pattern.

Love, love, love this! It has something unexpected. The hi-lo hemline! I never would have thought to change it up like that. I have seen many kimonos and ponchos but none of them have the hi-lo hemline. Also, she has made the tying off of each color at the end of each row WORK for you because those ends are what form the fringe!
