"I love my winders. If you have not purchased one yet, and you use a lot of yarn, I suggest you buy the largest winder your budget will afford. I now have 2 because when I bought the first one, which was the only one I could find at the time, I got one that will only wind 4 ounces. Did not take me long to realize I needed a larger one. This is the reason why."

I was so happy to see this article. Ive been thinking about getting a yarn winder (those 60% off coupons come in mighty handy), but after reading through this excellent article, I can see I need to do a lot more research. The author was very detailed in her descriptions, and included several photos and tips for creating the best cakes of yarn. I almost bought one last week now Im glad I waited.
