This is a really clever design for a coaster, and if you drop down a hook size to an E or F, this makes a wonderful appliqu as well. Last year my senior crochet ladies made shamrock pins, so Im going to surprise them with this as the March 2018 project. I may have to do a little tweaking to get the size right, but it shouldnt be a big problem.

What an adorable little coaster. It would look so cute on St Patrick's Day. But what about an Irish mobile. I make and sell them too. This one could have this, shamrocks, leprechaun , and the glass of beer patterns that I got from this site. Thank you for offering this and for free.

That's a great idea. Although if you're making it for a baby, you might need to swap out the glasses of beer for something else.
