    These are known as "Pocketbook Slippers". I have a pattern in knit, but appreciate so much the pattern in crochet. I prefer pompons instead of buttons for trims (and they cover any sewing mistakes). I'd love to have patterns in the different sizes - children's, teens and adults. Tried to make smaller and larger, but didn't work without a lot of mistakes.

    I had trouble with these slippers came out too large & looked nothing like the picture, I have no idea what could of went wrong. I used red heart worsted wt (4) yarn. Should i have tried using a thinner softer yarn? Crochet Mom

    You could use the slipper bottom pieces that are made for this, they have rubbery nubs on them and are sold at most craft stores....

    You should have fabric to match the color of the slippers. Painting on the bottom of the slippers will help make them less slippery and less chance falling then. You can paint various patterns such as zigzags, dots, circles, just about anything will do.
