I promised a member of our crafting group that I would make a prayer shawl for her church. She had brought in a lot of yarn a member donated and suggested we make prayer shawls. So in search of a pattern and here we are. I printed the instructions out and it looks easy to follow. The yarn I took is a nice rose color. This should look lovely plus all my well wishes will be in the crocheting. Thank you for the pattern.

I normally dont bother with shawls because so many of them are Yarn Hogs. This one has such an open lacy texture that I know yarn requirements will be minimal. The designer suggests using an H size hook, but I thought it would look just as lovely with a larger hook. So I worked up a small swatch using a J hook to see what it looked like and I was very pleased. The original shawl seemed a little short anyway.
