Summer Nights Shawl
"I hate cardigans! Unless they are really chunky and baggy I think they should be banned! So I always have a dilemma! You are going out on a spring (or summer in the UK) evening and its not hot enough to go without a jacket but not cold enough for jacket so what do you wear, especially if you are going to somewhere reasonably nice with a dress code? A Shawl! I have load of shawls or capes or boleros or some mixture of them I am a bit obsessed, so I thought why not try to design your own. So when I got my hands on some lovely Ice Yarn Rainbow DK I thought it was perfect for a Summer shawl. I made this one in the Teal, Purple, Grey Ombre, but i will also be making it the Coffee shades and potentially the Black and White ombre. There are loads of colour groups to choose from."

I think, by looking at it, that here in the United States we can substitute with the Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable yarn. I see that yarn as very similar in characteristics. It is quite beautiful! I would wear that any day of the week. Thank you for this poncho pattern!

I love the dark and moody look of this. It would be perfect for a summer date night with a little black dress!

Wow, the teal, purple and grey ombre coloring on this summer nights shawl is awesome. I have not had the opportunity to work with the ICE yarns yet, but they look spectacular. The crab stitch edging is the perfect finish for this shawl. The video tutorial for this new stitch is spot on.
