There seems to be a little confusion on the name of this shawl. The designer named the shawl Mariposa Lace Shawl because it looks like a butterfly and butterfly translates in Spanish to Mariposa. As posted here, the shawl is named Flamingo but is described as having fluttering butterfly wings.

No disrespect but, butterfly in Spanish is mariposa. And it is a beautiful shawl.
