Pinecones

This free crochet pattern calls for lace weight yarn and a size 7 steel crochet hook. If you use this thin yarn you'll get the best results for your pinecones. You can also use other colors if you wish to make a whole display.

This is a nice simple pattern, but I had to work one up because the designer didnt provide any in process photos. There arent any complicated stitches, but in the second row, there is a Double Petal sequence that can be tricky if you dont pay attention. After the third row, the pattern repeats and it was smooth sailing from there. It actually turned out pretty well and Ill definitely be making more.

I can see these making nice ornaments depending on the thread/yarn you use. I'll have to mark this pattern to use for next year! (too many projects currently in process :P)
