I had already worked up this designers Sand Drift Beanie (Confession Timeit looks much better as a Slouchie hat), so I was already familiar with the set of basic Half Doubles alternating with the Quadruple Treble. It really does give a lovely look to this cowl. In fact, I think it works much better as a scarf than a beanie. And Moogly Blogs excellent tutorial on making Long Stitches is a must for any crafter.

I love this scarf that matches the beanie. I have previously read the blog about the Sand Drift beanie, and I am loving it. The yarn is so luscious and that color is to die for. The hugely large stitches that she created from yarning over like a million times, create such a unique looking stitch! It's very satisfying.
