The Chunky Cowl

"There’s something cozy about the way a knit cowl naturally curls up around the edges.I designed a crochet pattern that mimics the same look. The edges slightly curl up to create a squishy cowl that you’ll want to wear when the temperatures start falling. The ridges give the cowl the perfect drape so it lays right every time you wear it. No need to style this scarf. In this chunky crochet scarf pattern, we’ll use one simple stitch, the slip stitch. Switching back and forth between the front and back loops creates those ridges."

I keep finding more and more gifting options offered up here on this website! How can I possibly make a decision? I always have a project (or two!) in the works. I can see myself wearing this over any of my plain tunics throughout the course of the fall and winter. It has that look of being an accessory but does not look like it is ONLY to be worn outdoors, if you can understand what I mean.

I haven't made this one yet, but I sure will be making it soon. I just love a great warm cowl and this one will be great. This Chunky Cowl is so easy to make, using the slip stitch in the back loops and then the front loops. Can't get any easier than that. I like her tip on keeping the stitches loose, using a hook 2 x the size the yarn calls for. The swatch I made came out great and was much easier with the larger hook. So happy I read this one. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
