The only thing that surprises me about this scarf is that her 7 year old daughter chose the blues instead of pinks and purples. I love the light and lacy feel of this scarf, and how versatile it is when it comes to length. If you do want to limit your yarn to one cake, you can follow the designers suggestions and go with a shorter scarf or sew it together to make a cowl.

This scarf is so versatile. I love that it could be really long or even short as a cowl.what colours would you choose? I'm thinking of making a long one for myself in a soft pink and edged in deeper pink. Being such an easy pattern I'm sure I could make one in blues for Christmas present for my daughter.

This scarf looks so plush and soft in the photo, I love how long the scarf is, this way it could be tied in many different ways to create many different styles. Can't wait to try this pattern for some of my friends and family for Christmas.
