Beautiful. I am so happy that your friend made a request and you delivered. This is a very pretty scarf and I would easily put it in the festive category for sure. It is interesting how this is crocheted. It is finished in three rounds so I am sure this will work up really quickly.

This charming project is perfect for a Beginner who wants to expand their skills a bit. All the required stitches are variations based on Double Crochet. The instructions are clearly written although there arent any additional close up photos or instructional video (the designer explains she has no way to film). You just work each stitch in sequence around both sides of the starting chain. Easy peasy!

This IS quite festive! How lovely this scalloped scarf would be if you wore it during the holiday season with a nice wool coat? I am loving the way they styled it, doubling up the length of the scarf and then pulling the ends through a loose loop. That is my preferred way of wearing a long and narrow scarf such as thing one. Is the Bernat Super Value in "cherry" a fairly soft yarn? I just don't want this to be scratchy up against my chin and around my neck.
