Barley Star Stitch Cowl
"I designed this cowl as part of the Holiday Stashdown CAL 2016. To be honest, I had completely forgotten all about this CAL until I received an email reminder. I had so much fun participating in the Holiday Stashdown CAL 2015, that I jumped in on this design. I had been playing around with some star stitch designs anyway, and when my boyfriend's mom gave me some thick and cushiony Wool Ease Thick n Quick Yarn, I knew exactly what I wanted to make. I used almost a whole skein, but you could use any Super Bulky #6 yarn, or even two strands of worsted weight held together. This cowl makes a great gift, and a quick make as I had mine ready to wear in about an hour."

This is a quick little project that the author created as a stash buster. I love how she recommends a bulky yarn, but also offers other options about how to create the bulky look. Do yourself a favor and read the Pattern Notes thoroughly. She describes her own trial-and-error process with this pattern, and thats so helpful. Dont need to reinvent the wheel.

So glad you appreciate my notes section! And that you have left comments on many of my designs - I really appreciate the support! It's been a while since I have added my designs to this awesome database, but I have it on my schedule to work on this weekend.
