This is a nice cowl that is actually worked flat and then joined by the oversized buttons. It is only available as a .pdf download from the linked site. By the way, you do NOT have to jump through the hoops on the websiteyou can just skip the other steps and go straight to the download. Not everyone is on Facebook!

I've made about three of these crochet cowl patterns! It works up so quickly and everyone I've given them to has loved them.
