I have a problem with the crochet pattern. On row 3 it says Ch1, sc in first 6 stchs. *{sc in ch-1 sp, sc in next st} 6 times. I don't understand the sc in ch-1 space. It brings me to the 6 dcs' and the ch-1 is on the other side of these stitches(between the 6 dc-decs). Can someone help me. I have started over so many times, and I just can't figure it out. Or do I skip over the 6 dcs. Or should there be a ch-1 after the 6dcs? Thank you for any help.

Hi there. I am crocheting " The Peacefule Ripple " from 1998 Beginner's Guide- Ripple Afghan's to Crochet--My problem is-Ch 1, turn; sc in first 9 dc, (sc, ch 2, sc) in next ch-3 sp. My row doesn't come out right. This is what I did--I skipped the middle sc. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Thank you. Janet Avery
