One of my personal favorites is the Kreinik Thread Legacy Sampler; it is truly a must-have for crafters. It includes every type of Krenik thread, 29 spools/skeins to be exact! Krenik also makes Blending Filament, which can be used by iteself or combined with other yarns for a subtle highlighting effect. There are 90+ colors to choose from, so you can literally pick any color you want! Plus, it's washable and dry cleanable. If you're looking for a softer thread with not as much sparkle, Silk Mori thread is also available. Made of 100% pure silk, this thread is dry clean only.
