If you haven't heard of Darn Good Yarn then I suggest you see what they're all about now as there are some fabulous yarns from them. All of the yarn is made from recycled and Earth friendly materials and much of it is created from the colorful remnants of the production of silk saris in Nepal and Northern India.
One beautiful type of yarn that springs to mind is the Nepalese Hand-Spun Recycled 100% Pure Silk Yarn. The color of this yarn is just so vibrant and colorful; the deep bold colors are hard to look away from. In this one ball of yarn you can find many shades of purple, red, pink, blue and green; just brilliant. This is a Fair Trade and Child Labor free yarn which makes it that much greater of a yarn. When you first look at this yarn it looks like a thin strand of rope, but it's super soft and silky. You can make a beautiful scarf out of this yarn or even a fashionable necklace.
Another type of yarn from Darn Good Yarn is their Fair Trade Kaleidoscope Banana Fiber Yarn. This yarn is just like the Nepalese Silk yarn in the texture and feel. The color of this variegated yarn has more earthy-tones to it. With this yarn you can make a pair of leg warmers or even a sweater and it will keep you nice and warm. Banana fiber is durable and very unique so you can make the best patterns that everyone will want.
Darn Good Yarn also has some Awesome Felty Goodness that are small balls of felt. These are great to add to any project you're making. Embellish a purse with these felt balls or even make a fun necklace or scarf using them. They come in many colors so you can have your way with them and make your project perfect.
