Darn Good Yarn has products made from recycled and Earth-friendly materials and much of it is created from the colorful remnants of the production of silk saris in Nepal and Northern India. These materials are handspun and dyed by women’s groups in Nepal. Darn Good Yarn provides these women with a marketplace for the products, as well as much needed wages for their families. We all know how amazing their yarns are, but now they've taken it a step further and created a yarn subscription.
Subscriptions are becoming more and more popular, especially in the crafting world. Having products and materials shipped directly to your doorstep is the fast and easy way to get new supplies. Each month from Darn Good Yarn you'll get one skein of premium artisan quality yarn, a knit and crochet pattern and a mystery gift. Patterns may include items like cowls, scarves, gloves, plant hangers and so much more. This yarn subscription is only $10! You may get a skein of Darn Good Yarn or another brand of quality yarn from small businesses, but each are just as good as the next.
This yarn subscription or yarn club supports a small US-based business that has a passion for helping others. What's really great about this subscription is that you can skip a month at any time, so if you're short on cash one month then you can opt-out until the following month.

I have somewhat mixed feelings about this subscription box. One the one hand, I am really liking having things delivered to my door. That works for items that Im already familiar with, but I like to see and feel yarn before I commit. I do like the causes this company supports, so Ill probably get at least one box just to try it out.
